	Smart et Apple : même combat !

Le 30 mars dernier, nous vous avons proposé un article sur la Smart i Move. Il s’agit d’une série spéciale fortwo avec un grand nombre d’équipements spéciaux et, surtout, le iPod, le lecteur MP3 en vogue de chez Apple Computer. Si smart a implanté ce lecteur dans sa série spéciale, ce n’est pas pour rien. Le iPod est le dernier coup de génie en date de Steve Jobs (CAO d’Apple). Ce produit connaît une réussite commerciale hors pair à l’image du iMac, il y a quelques années. Le nouveau modèle (iPod mini) est déjà en rupture de stock aux USA et sa commercialisation en Europe a été retardée de plusieurs mois. Le iPod est la meilleure façon de véhiculer un esprit jeune et dynamique.

Mais les convergences entre smart et Apple ne s’arrêtent sans doute pas là. Apple est à l’informatique ce que smart est à l’automobile. Quand smart s’applique à promouvoir une autre image de l’automobile, Apple en fait autant dans le secteur informatique. Apple fait en sorte que l’ordinateur soit autre chose qu’un outil « grisâtre », tandis que smart veut que l’automobile soit autre chose qu’un outil de transport

Smart a donné à Apple un sérieux coup de main dans sa lutte contre l’omniprésent MS Windows (voir photo jointe). Gageons qu’avec des états d’esprit aussi proches, les deux marques n’ont pas fini de marcher main dans la main.
