L'evenement aura lieu a St Georges de Rouelley, pres de Domfront, le13 au 20 aout. Il y a beaucoup d'anglais et quelques francais qui viennent camper dans notre champ avec leurs Smarts. Si vous regarderez dans l'histoire du forum vous trouverez des renseignements plus copieux.

We had a nice little get together last evening and came up with a few ideas.

Big thanks to people for offering to organise (and actually getting on with it!) various parts of this to make it a success for everyone

Short term information.

Smartsparks is trying to confirm everyone today as he has to finalise with Speedferries tomorrow (Monday).

After that although the event will still be "open" as it were, the discounted crossing will not. Speedferries are still the cheapest about so they will always be worth a try but on a purely personal level and the crossing 10.40 on 13th August might of course be full.

In order to organise the facilities on the site, we will need to have final numbers and deposits by Easter 2008. This is when we will actually set up the site - Thanks Ian and Eddie The numbers at the moment are 21 and we can handle another 4 pretty easily.

After Easter we will review the situation and post accordingly if there are any spare places.

Competitions, events etc.

There will be something going on everyday - if you want to get involved in a convoy to wherever then there will be a start time. If you want to chill out for the day or explore on your own then that is cool. Events will be posted the previous evening

We have finalised a number of competitions ( Tractor, Fancy dress, carting, Mayor's Choice, Shooting, Car egg race to name but a few) and SteveRS is contacting companies who might be persuaded to sponsor the odd prize.

We will show off the cars to the locals and involve the Mayor in a little soiree. Fiona will be arranging for everyone to have a bi lingual explanation sheet for their car.

Costs
£7 per person per tent per night with a breakfast included
£6 per person per night communal meal kitty to include a "Hog Roast" style Saturday BBQ with other "petrolheads" from the area.
